SOWING SEEDS OF CHANGE
Wednesdays: April 20 – June 15, 2022
Sowing Seeds of Change
Mindfulness, Meditation & Movement | Trauma-Informed, Compassionate, Body-Oriented
Spring is naturally a time of renewal and rebirth. Our energy rises to celebrate new life and beginnings possible inside us. Our Spring Cup of Qigong session gives us opportunity to use the wisdom learned from the year passed and to sow seeds of change in our mind, body and heart. We will explore how the Wood Element of spring supports this time of growth with the spirit of creativity, excitement and courage.
You are invited to join each Wednesday…
We will take time to pause, connect to our wise body and restore whole-body health through the healing practice of Qigong (chee-gong). Somatic Qigong brings together the body wisdom of somatics with gentle, easy-to-learn body movements and breathing of Qigong that still your mind, move your emotions and restore the flow of life-energy or “Qi” to your body.
Everyone Welcome | Celebrate the Wise Teacher and Healer Inside You:
Qigong’s simplicity and Elisa’s warm, welcoming approach makes this a class for everyone to experience. No experience needed… only your presence!
After our class at 10:45am PST, a recording will be sent each Wednesday and be available for seven days to view and enjoy the practice.
Recordings will ONLY show me teaching the class and ONLY my voice will be heard. Any questions after the practice/class will not be part of the recording.
A sliding scale is open to all. If you want to be part of the circle, simply Get in Touch with Elisa.
The class is delivered live as an Online Zoom Class. Once registered, you will be sent simple instructions to connect to Zoom and join the class.

About Trauma-Informed Practice for Healthcare Clinicians
Trauma-informed practice fosters an environment where the unique story of each person’s life experience is met with body-oriented compassion and awareness in order to safely and respectfully provide appropriate care and service.
Trauma-Informed Practice (TIP) for Healthcare Clinicians is a unique, body-oriented training designed to support healthcare clinicians in creating a trauma-informed environment for their clients. The goal of the training is to raise awareness of trauma and develop somatic communication skills to build compassion, safety, and regulation in the therapeutic relationship. Curriculum is tailored to meet the unique needs of clinicians and their clients with relevant considerations for working one-on-one in practice.
Learning Approach | Knowledge + Embodiment = Whole Body Learning
Participants are given the opportunity to explore and expand their theoretical learning through somatic or body-centred exercises. This process of embodied learning deepens understanding by gaining a body-oriented perspective of intellectual concepts. Individual and group exercises offer time for reflection, building self-awareness, and the development of trust in the classroom.
